Essential Federal Credit Union is helping rebuild the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. The GBR Food Bank suffered a major loss after the Historic Flood of 2016. It lost a large amount of food, the warehouse was sufficiently damaged, and food trucks were submerged in water. The GBR Food Bank serves parishes that were heavily affected by the flood water causing damage to thousands of homes. If there was ever a time when our community needs assistance from the GBR Food Bank, it's now.
Essential has donated over 200,000 meals to the GBR Food Bank within the last year. We are accepting donations on behalf of the GBR Food Bank. You may drop off dry or canned foods at any of our open Essential branches or make a monetary donation. Together we can nourish The Greater Baton Rouge area while it repairs and rebuilds stronger than ever. At Essential, we believe the good things in life always come back around.
